HARROGATE, Tenn. – Lincoln Memorial University is mourning the loss of Eliza Dakota Leight, a student who passed away in a recent car accident. Leight was studying to become a teacher and was known for her dedication to education and her ability to make others feel valued. “Dakota had a rare gift—the ability to make others feel seen, valued, and understood,” the university said in a statement. “Her dedication to education wasn’t just about mastering content; it was about making a difference.” Leight’s impact was felt across campus, where she was known for her kindness and encouragement.
